Can from the brewery. Citrus, minerals, unripe tropical fruit, dry, crackery malt. Bright crystal golden with a thick, low head. Bracing citrus hop flavor, almost acidic and tart. Grapefruit and mandarin, plus some papaya and passion fruit. Lovely. Crisp as hell. Want this again in summer. Brilliant stuff again.

Can, mail order from the brewery. Nutty British malts, earthy, toast, light caramel, spicy hops. Orange-amber with a low head. Very spicy hop flavor, earthy, light citrus--orange, peppery, toasty, lightly nutty malt. Prickly, spicy, earthy finish. Nails the style as expected. Not exactly a bitter, but a craft pale ale that is completely English. Love it as a session drinker.

Can, mail order from the brewery. Great hoppy nose, sweet citrus: mandarin, oranges, light pink grapefruit, some pineapple, papaya, crisp, clean malt. Bright golden color, slightly hazy but not hazy. Rich fruity hops, bready malts, honey, citrus, some herbs, ripe tropical fruit. hops are very well used, with none of the cat piss that often comes with poorly used NZ hops. Herbal, lemony, honeyed finish with medium bitterness. Well done.

Tap at Takanoya. Deep, dark orange-brown, lovely. Rich malt nose, herbal hops, toasty and slightly roasty, nice hops. Flavor is rich toasty malt, a bit of cherry and minerals, and a dry, bitter finish. Like a dark Uerige.

Nice stuff! Nice cherry tartness, slight sweetness in a malty Belgian red way. Almond maybe.

TDM 1874 The Whole World Window Double IPA 8.5% According to the can it has orange peel in it. Possibly happoshu license reason? Clear gold very vibrant looking with a lovely pillowy head of foam and rich fruity hop bouquet with a bit of dank richness. Quite full bodied and smooth but with enough of a tongue scraping rasp to say “hey, I AM an IPA”. Very well balanced, strong nod to a classic IPA but with enough wonderful rich juicy fruit character to drag it into 2020. Fantastic stuff and I’m really glad a friend in Tokyo hooked me up with this can.

TDM 1874 IPA 7% My only quibble about this is I wish they told you somewhere what batch/version of the IPA you’ve got. Pale straw gold with a soapy dollop or white foam and sharply lemon aroma. Bitter but balanced with woodsy notes. Quite full bodied and bitter but super clean. Very nice.

Lovely stuff! Like and old house ipa! Fruity! Sticky. Bit dank. Little citrus sweetness somehow. Lovely!
