(swing top bottle) Clear, copper colour with a loose and light beige foamy head. Light-sweet, distinctively peaty smoke-malty aroma with iodine. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation and a well-matured mouthfeel. Peaty malty, iodinic and mineral-salty taste; moderately dry, slightly sweet and minimal-bitter finish with a soft but eclectic smoke character. A bench mark for whiskey-malt beers (16.08.08).

Bottled at Rittmayer-Keller, Kreuzberg. Cloudy pale orange, small head. Apply vegetable aroma. Light bodied with some banana and inky metal. Too diluted and fruity. Quite failed leichtes weizen.

Draught at Rittmayer-Keller, Kreuzberg. Dark brown, minimal head. Smoky beechwood aroma. Dry with clean, well rounded mouthfeel. Lightly roasty with good levels of intricate smoke flavour. The malt character could be deeper, but already as it is it is a top effort.

My beer is a totally different label and says 4.9% and does not have Raiterla, just Hallerndorfer Rauchbier (Gold Award 2007). Assume its the same. Hazelnut color, nose of chestnuts, smoked gouda, cherries and apricots. Moderately strong smoke, but a sweet malty backbone. Medium body. Smokier than expect with a lingering smoked chestnut finish. Very pleaseant. Another random beer found in japan.

Bottle (courtesy of Koelschtrinker). Orange-banana, clove, and wheat malt - very nice. Cloudy brown-orange color with moderate head - looks more like a dunkelweizen. Sweet ripe banana/orange, clove, and malt that has a hint of chocolate. Sour milk finish. Nice weizen.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thinorange head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet matly with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of straw. Nothing exciting.

Clear amber with tiny short lasting white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel notes. Same goes for the flavor that ends sweet.
