Can from Slow Hand, Vancouver
Cloudy, pale blond colour, small head. The aroma is fruity, there's more jam and stone fruit than in most Citra-oriented IPAs, candies, something sweeter, like strawberries; this is very nice. Dry mouthfeel, lean, there's no chalk or starch, but also not much else to say about the base; strong fruity character, it can't be really juicy given the absence of sugars; the bitterness is low; no hop burn, and this is appreciated; a tiny grassy note in the finish is a pleasant variation. Good.

Cloudy blond colour. Citrus zest, light passion fruit, light weed. It's off-dry, with smooth mouthfeel; decent base, for a Hazie; the hopping is very well done, with zesty and weedy notes, bitter orange, light pith and alcohol in the finish. Excellent.

Pale, mostly bright. Grassy aroma with mosaic. Sort of sticky malt, kinda sweet, muted hops and they aren’t good pilsner hops anyway. Basically just another pale ale.

5oz pour at The Magnet. Pours opaque yellow with white head. Aroma has a ton of juicy orange, stonefruit, and another quality I tend to attribute to hazies. Flavour has juicy orange and stonefruit, some pine, syrupy; a bit alcoholic near the end. Not as good, when compared to some of their other recent products, but still fine.

473mL can. Pours opaque light gold with white head. Aroma has tons of white wine character and some dank oils. Flavour has a ton of white wine grapes, orange citrus, melon, dank oils. This is excellent, fantastic Nelson expression.

16oz @ Alex's garage during a movie night. Appearance: hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: some tropical fruits and grass, a bit dusty. Taste: along the same lines, crispy, some nice little sweetness. Finishes with tropical fruits bitterness. Overall: pleasant.

175mL pour at Slow Hand. Pours murky yellow with white head. Aroma has pine and citrus. Flavour has really nice crisp pine up front, followed by citrus juice and rind, crisp malts. Finish is moderately bitter, spicy, and a bit woody. Very nice, I hope they do more West Coast beers.

175mL pour at Slow Hand. Pours opaque yellow, like orange juice. Aroma has light tropical fruit. Flavour is super juicy, lots of stone fruit, a bit of hop burn on the finish. Mouthfeel is quite thick, almost gritty. Nice, juicy IPA.

Re-rate because some asshole hit my car after I picked up stuff to trade and now I’m waiting for a tow truck. Poured from the tap. Hazy blonde with small white head. Grapefruit and onion. Still not a big fan of this one. Oct 14, 2024 (6/4/6/3/11=3.0): Poured from 473mL can (Slow Hand was closed on Monday, unfortunately so couldn't try it on tap). Clear-ish yellow gold with white head. Overpoweringly oniony with feint pine backing. Unbalanced. Not a fan.

Slight haze, thin head. Pale. Spicy hop, medium pale malt, this has a slight onion note, mild cannabis, still not bad. Would prefer more malt complexity to play off the hops...some biscuity notes would light this up.
