Draught - as Manneken Pis - at Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, Ghent, Belgium
White, murky body. Mostly diminishing, white, creamy head. Excellent lace. Nose of citrus and flowers. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter initial flavour. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter (long) finish. Light bodied. A nice Witbier.

Huge topping of creamy foam; light amber beer with golden shine. ’Speculoos’, hops and very yeasty nose, floral and very aromatic. Revolting sweet initial taste, with a bitter vegetable vengeance. Utterly unbalanced, this, but thankfully, it more or less starts blending itself in the finish. Rather well-bodied, creamy mouthfeel. The initial taste is revolting, sweet and bitter clashing. The rest is rather good - silly.

Hazy dark brown coloured body with a soapy tan head. Aroma of pit fruits, sugars, peaches and a bit of spice. Medium to Full-bodied; Sweet flavour with pit fruits noticeable and some malt flavour with sugars added. Aftertaste is not too alcoholic, with some fruity flavours and spice throughout. Overall, a great beer...definately one to have! I bought this 33 cL bottle at the LCBO at Queen’s Quay in Toronto, Canada and sampled it with Phil (haddon90) on 25-May-2004.

Bottled @room temp., served in Barbar "frosted" class
Orange yellow with steady foamy white head, lace. Malt-honey aroma. Medium-body. Quite tasteless malts with a bit honey sweetness. Bitter alcoholic finish. Drinkable blond. (6/4/5/3/13 3.1)
Rerated bottle BB 03/2007
Golden color, small white head. Strong honey aroma. Carbonated, bitterish, mixed with honey. Sweeter when aged? (7/3/8/4/15 3.7)

The aroma is very light - primarily spicy (probably the mustard) with notes of oranges. The color is a hazy orange and it has a huge head. The flavor is very nice, a mellow sweet background which there is spices, oranges, and mango. The mustard hits You in the end and combines with a hop bitterness for a very interesting end. A fine beer.

[Draft] A clear red beer with a fine (too big) pink head. The aroma is very sweet of cherries, and so is the flavor, which mixes in notes from wood. The body is thin and the beer is boring. [Bottle 3/2/4/3/6]

Great clear-red colour, very pink head, dwindling. Truly horribly cherry-sweets nose, near maraschino. Even the children wouldn't have it. MUST I try this? For the sake of Ratebeer, then. Well, taste is somewhat less awful. Just overly sweet and artificial. Slick Mouthfeel, well-bodied. A damn shame. "Belgian" indeed!

(This beer started life as "Rolls", with a very vertically striped label. A certain British carmarque, now very Bavarian, wasn't exactly pleased. Quite aged sample) Slightly darker chromate yellow; fine white collar. Nutty, bready, yeasty nose; as well as something spicey (cilandro?), old rooms. Slight spicey taste - coriander - light biscuity, bready. Light mouthfeel. Very spicey aftertaste: pepper, coriander, farchiew. A wee bit VERY light. but because of that, the spices give some - adequate - piment. No "highflyer", for sure.

Hazy golden color. Aroma of paper and light peach fruitness. Good structure, aggressive in the front and round; a bit sweeter later. Balanced final. Not extraordinary, but pleasant.
