50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a white head. Spiced and hoppy aroma. Flavour is mild fruity and delicate hoppy. Smooth and with a wellbalanced bitterness to the aroma hops. Ends fruity and refreshing.

(bottle, 5.4%) Clear, golden colour with a beautiful, cream-coloured foamy head. Moderately sweet, slightly sour-doughy aroma with a touch of cara-malt and light spots of herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour with an aromatic malt-profile: cara-malty, subtle fruity and slightly doughy taste; medium-dry, sweet and slightly bitter malt-accented finish. Pleasant Export (07.08.08).

(swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a big and cream-coloured foamy head, leaving lace-work. Moderately sweet cara-malty aroma with a tinge of sour-dough and a good dash of herbal hoppy spice. Medium-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid cara-malty base with a tinge of bread; almost dry, sweet-bitter finish with a rounded malt and herbal hops profile. Good (05.08.08).

(6/21/08) Bottle at my hostel in Leipzig (from a trade with kappldav123. Thanks David!). Clear amber color with a medium, quickly-diminishing, white head. Aroma of malt, hints of toastiness and some light hoppiness. Sweetish flavor of malt and caramel and some nice hoppiness later with notes of grass. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Bottle, 6.7%. Very malty aroma, also very caramelly. Clear dark brown colour. Nice stable tan head. The flavour is very malty, some rye bread and a little dust. Good mouthfeel, pleasant carbonation. The aftertaste is slightly roasted, almost giving a feel of liquorice. Has a little watery finish even though it is otherwise flavourful.

In weiten Teilen sehr mild. Im Großen und Ganzen kein wirklich schlechtes Bier, an Diätbieren wohl mein bisheriger Favorit. Test vom 9.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,8,9,7,11,7 - 7,75

The bottle looks good. The beer in the glass also. Aroma like a bock. Tastes sweet, modest malty, really like a bock. Very good, better than some "normal" pilseners.

The bottle looks not so good, different crown cap as the other Freibergisch-beers. The beer is very fresh and zippy. A drinkable and good radler.
