Description
As of August 15, 2022 under new management! Temporarily brewed in Bury, Manchester.
Weird Beard Brew Co. consists of a small team of people, wildly passionate about beer.
We make what we love and we love what we make, brewing all types of beers from hoppy session IPAs to bold imperial stouts and we're partial to experimenting within and around styles. We won't hold back! Because we can brew what we want, when we want, we make sure that we're putting out beers we are proud of.

Bottle from the Weird Beard online shop. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Charred coals, citrus, whiff of mango in the nose. Taste is smoked bacon, citrus, apricot. Smoky sweet dry finish. Rather enjoying this one. An extremely good take on the style.

Bottle delivered by the brewery. The description on my bottle label bears no resemblance to the main description on this page, no mention of coconut at all! Plus it's listed as 6.3% ABV.Black pour with a beige head. Chocolate lime, earth, light coffee aroma. Lots of chocolate lime in the taste, spot of white pepper, coffee. Lime driven finish..

Bottle at home in Hackney - aged a few years. Pours lightly hazed deep orange-gold with a frothy, off-white head. Holds some rich malty character, pine needles, orange peel, alcohol, background yeast, grassy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, more assertive piney and grassy notes, sun-kissed malts, nips of raw alcohol. Pretty punchy stuff. Reasonably enjoyable but it's unnecessarily boosty.

Opaque dark brown beer, big bubbly tan head, suspiciously big! Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Somewhat thin and bitterish dark malts, little cocoa powder. Modest coconut. Thin airy bitterish finish. What a disappointment. As about as far removed from a coconut stout as I would want and yet still retaining some modest degree of drinkability. Weird Beard are better than this.
