Description
As of August 15, 2022 under new management! Temporarily brewed in Bury, Manchester.
Weird Beard Brew Co. consists of a small team of people, wildly passionate about beer.
We make what we love and we love what we make, brewing all types of beers from hoppy session IPAs to bold imperial stouts and we're partial to experimenting within and around styles. We won't hold back! Because we can brew what we want, when we want, we make sure that we're putting out beers we are proud of.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail
Bottled Nov 2013 - Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth white head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, sweet syrup, fruity and grassy hops, citrus. Taste is smooth, roasty and salty with notes of licorice, grassy hops, fruits and citrus. Finish is smooth, stingy and salty with loads of licorice, fruits, roastiness, grass and citrus. Quite heavy but very well balanced imperial black IPA.

Bottle, from Ales By Mail, split at Colin and the Vikings tasting, Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white swirl atop the glass. Nose is orange pith, light honey, straw, toasty malt. Taste comprises much the same, sweetish tones, mandarin, bread dough, light honeycomb, hop notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok, kind of like a not too hoppy APA with a glob of bee jizz thrown in!

Thanks to ThirstyBird for sharing. Batch No 0035. Bottled on Oct-13. Best before Oct-14
Dark in the glass with and intense malty-dry nose. The beer starts very intense: Roasted and coffee. The mainpart is very dry, even a bit dusty. Highly roasted with lots of coffee. The aftertaste is long, intense. Viscous, coffee, hints of sourness.
A very great beer - especially for the 3.7% extremely flavourful! --> 13/12/13/13

Cask gravity at Craft 100. It pours hazy deep brown with a small beige. The nose is earthy, toast, brown bread, orange sponge cake, caramel, old leathery sofa and dried fruits. The taste is bitter, woody, resin, spice, alcohol, toasty, leather and caramel with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A bit rough around the edges, but interesting to sample.

Craft100 fest at Craft Clapham. Cask. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Light palate, slightly soft and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. An ’oud bruin’ like sour vibe with IPA like floral and citric bitterness. Dry finish. A strange concoction but interesting!

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma, hints of coffee, grassy and herbal hoppy overtones, a peppery green onion touch. Taste is bitter hoppy, dry, roasty dark malty basis, notes of coffee, a salty touch of liquorice. Sober, precise, concentrated, very well balanced. Good!

Bottle at home, 5th April 14. Smells of burnt caramel, molasses. Taste is creme brûlée, burnt sugar, molasses some bitterness. Strange but quite nice.
