Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy thin head and a little lace. The aroma is boozy alcohol, rich creamy tropical fruit. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a dry big yeast almost vinous palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not sure it’s a Belgian Tripel as such. I’m not sure what yeast they used but it’s probably not the same as they use in Belgium. Is it preferable to your average Belgian Tripel though? I would have it say that it is.

Bottle at Googies Folkestone. Black beer lasting tan head. Chocolate dark chocolate and some spiciness on the aroma. It’s a slightly harsh milk stout with lots of coffee. Wow stunning. Not too much lactuc but it is there. I don’t normally like milk stout but this is good. It’s good. Some bitterness on the finish. Excellent. Given I don’t like the style. Lactose increases as it warms up. Still for a style that normally makes me retch this is good.

Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Very light malt cream supports that are a nice combo of tangy orange, tangerine and lemony Sorachi keeping things on their toes. Light hops spice and a little pine. Finishes smooth with a mild bitter linger. Pretty good little number.

Very hazy dark amber beer, good off white head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft. Mild fine carbonation. Tangy jammy fruits nicely balanced with malt cream, bourbon and a whisper of vanilla. Finishes smooth and semi dry with a little bitterness and spice coming through. Very nice indeed. Would love to see a dry hopped version.
