Keg at Hanging Bat. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Low carbonation, could do with a bit more zing. Lots of good hop aromas though, pine, resin, dried orange peel. Very rich, but strikes a good balance with the hop bitterness. Good beer.

330ml bottle [batch 0006: Green Bullet, Columbus, Pacific Gem, Dr. Rudi]. Cloudy amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Resinous hoppy aroma, a touch of honey and redcurrant. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty, resin, a touch of honey, recurrant, peach, mango, bitter hoppy overtones. Quite sweet IIPA, I guess the malt basis could easily cope with more hops.

Aroma: Twiglets, burnt coffee, ash and milk chocolate.

Appearance: Dark brown body with a medium tan head. Excellent lacing.

Taste: Very ashy and bitter. Peppery and biscuity with a hint of milk chocolate. Flavoursome but not particularly appealing or moreish.

Palate: Medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation.

Overall: Tastes extremely ashy and peppery - not the most pleasant of flavours but there’s a huge amount of flavour for such a low alcohol beer (this bottle was 3.5% ABV).

500ml bottle [Gusher! Another bottle even exploded while being stored]. Cloudy amber colour with huge, frothy, diminishing, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of orange, mandarine, minimally peppery, spicy yeasty overtones. Taste is fruity hoppy, notes of orange, mandarine, a dry touch of fruit parings, some fruit acid, some caramel malt in between, minimally grassy overtones; lively carbonation.

Keg at Cask, Pimlico. It pours lightly hazy golden amber with a small white head. The taste is earthy, herbal, spice, dough, pine and some orangey citrus. The taste is earth, dough, spice, herbal, apricot, wood, citrus and a touch of sweetness with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not that keen on the herbal notes.

Consumed at home in the company of Loz, Jackie & Simon 03.08.13 Pours pale gold clear slight haze, looks good with a white head atop. Wonderful nose quite tropical, pineapple and also a little grapefruit. Absolutely stunning for the abv, my only criticism is that it is a little sweet, otherwise it has so muvh flavour and wonderfully drinkable, A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov17 4.0

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras. Hazy dark amber colour lasting off white head. Lovely hop aroma. It’s a good even excellent American pale ale. Good solid malt underpins the good Pacific northwest hops. Fresh and hell really good. Surprise of the day.
