Description
As of August 15, 2022 under new management! Temporarily brewed in Bury, Manchester.
Weird Beard Brew Co. consists of a small team of people, wildly passionate about beer.
We make what we love and we love what we make, brewing all types of beers from hoppy session IPAs to bold imperial stouts and we're partial to experimenting within and around styles. We won't hold back! Because we can brew what we want, when we want, we make sure that we're putting out beers we are proud of.

Tap. Pours rather unclear, small white head. Smell is creamy, fruity hops, rather tropical. Fresh. Taste is sharp, bit bitter. Intensely fruity ( very tropical, pineapple,..) rather creamy body. Nice fruity ending. Bitterness doesn't really last. Nice apa, but perhaps a bit too hoppy for the style.

Draught Medium, rather dense off-white head over veiled orange-golden beer. Sulphur, UK hops, rhubarb, raw celeri. Bitter, with a faint caramel backthroat, even toasted. Orangepeel, kumquat. Tad metallic - Brett? Medium bodied, quite slick, not very well-carbonated. More UK than USA charactered IPA, despite all the C-hops - which is OK with me.

DraughtGood white-yellow head over hazy pineapplejuice-coloured beer. Bit of manure, asafoetida, dried (citrus)fruit, other grains, dry oatmeal cookies. Dryish, again other grains (rye?), and dried fruit as citrus, pineapple - without the (rest)sugars. Backthroat acidity. Dry, but enlivened by the carbonation, lean. OK, not very exciting.

Bottle, picked up at Cotteridge Wine, Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed at home Sunday 5th November 2018 whilst making Ultimate Chicken Shawarmas, Spicy Halloumi Salad and Polenta Chips from the Feast book by Sabrina Ghayour. Nice Barley Wine the coffee works well, this drinks far easier than it should considering the abv. Dark amber, reddy brown, off white head. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, reasonable smooth and with a decent trailing minerally crispness. Light malts, sweetish. Good creamy and smooth cooling mint. Just light chocolate underneath, but what there is tastes genuine. Smooth orange and orange peel on the finish but still playing second fiddle to the smooth mint. Nicely done. Works well.

330ml bottle. Pours hazy light gold with a medium head. Aroma is coffee, peanut butter and a little mint. Taste has light mint to start and a peanut butter finish. A lottle odd. Creamy mouthfeel.
