Solid blend. Lots of roast, peppers are light but long lasting on aftertaste. Dark chocolate. Bitter end with a fair dose of booze. A little caramel. Tap at Cottage Hill.

0.75l bottle. Slightly opaque golden body with a white head. Vinegar and oak dominate the aroma, but there are notes of green apples, grapes, barnyard and some vinous notes there too. The taste is a bit less bold than the aroma. It shows notes of vinegar, grapes, oak, mold and white wine. Quite acidic. It leaves a long lasting vinous finish after the sip. Great, complex beer.

Very hazy, dense orange and straw coloured body with a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head that fades pretty quickly to leave an ugly head on top. Aroma of oranges, grass, hay, cream, milk, vanilla and a good level of sugars leftover here with no real alcohol in the nose, either. Medium-bodied; Super orange-y and citrusey throughout here with a big hit of vanilla, cream, malts and yes, of course - lactose, easily the strongest thing noticeable here, with a kick of flowers and dry hop bitterness at the end. Aftertaste is pretty well-balanced with a good deal of sugars sitting above the malt and hops, both here, but the wheat becomes noticeable, as does the slightly bittering hops towards the end that yes, bring out a bunch of citrus notes and more cream/vanilla and lactose - a ton throughout this one. Overall, a strong and very true-to-name beer - the vanilla, orange and cream are deep here, and as someone who doesn't like creamsicles - I don't like it, but it's great that this is what they set out to do and got it really right! Good for those who like it and still nice enough for others...this one is respectable, for sure and I'm glad to have gotten this during my last trip to South Carolina! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from White Whale Craft Ales in Savannah, Georgia on 31-December-2021 for US$6,00, canned on 25-October-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-February-2022.

(Can) Black colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with black coffee, dark chocolate, pineapple, toasted coconut, black bread and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, pineapple, citrus, toasted coconut and a warming finish with a balanced roasty bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Rich and full, with balanced notes of pineapple and coconut mingling well with all the imperial stout character. Works better than it sounds. Great beer.
