Bottled@PBF VIII. Very deep red colour, small brown head. Aroma is some fruits, some toast and mild spicy notes. Flavour is ripe fruits, toffee and some mild spices and liquorice.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a small light brown head. Aroma of spices, roasted malts, hints of rye and chocolate. Taste is smooth, grainy, malty and slightly spicy with hints of chocolate. Finish is grainy and malty with hints of roastiness.

Bottled at PBF. Dark brown, small head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Mid dry with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Hazelnuts and chocolate, salty bitterish finish. Clean, but flavourful and balanced.

Aroma is sweetish with berries, some licorice, vanilla and raspberries. Watery palate. Flavour has salty licorice, say souce, peppery notes and herbal tones. Quite nice but the palate is just too thin. Also not like the other sweet stouts I’ve had.

Bottled at Elvira, Mexico City. Clear golden, minimal head. Fruity nose. Sweetish with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Hops are almost absent, instead there’s mostly a generic bland fruitiness. Low bitterness.

Bottled at Elvira, Mexico City. Clear amber/brown, minimal head. Light grapefruit aroma. Mid dry with crisp mouthfeel and medium body. Mild roasty malt and light perfumy hops. Salty bitter finish. Well balanced and nicely drinkable.

Bottled at Fiebre de Malta, Mexico City. Near black, small beige head. Light coffee aroma. Dryish with above medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and hard toasted bread. Low bitterness.

A deep dark schwarzebier with no head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice notes, mineral notes, OK. Bottle at Fiebre de Malta, March 31 2012.

Tap. Pours deep brown to black with a small tan head and minimal lacing. Aroma is nice espresso, roasted malt, and chocolate. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, with a light bitter finish. A bit watery on the palate for this otherwise quite nice beer.

Tap. Pours clear amber, with a medium white head that laces well. Aroma is grapefruit, notes of pine. Flavor is grapefruit, slightly sweet caramel malt, notes of pine ,and a medium bitter finish.
