Bottle at my sisters ... Ok this bottle went off like a rocket, but maybe i didnt let it settle long enough so i will give it benefit of doubt... Brown hazy orange ... huge fluffy white head ... ornagy sour tang ... i dont think this is right. Drinkable but not right...... Saying that its growing on me... It got a tart zingy bitterness ... with a nice citrus backbone to it with some lime and grapefruit... quite drying id originally scored it at 2.9 but think uping it to 3.4 after getting into it. cask at bow .. ruby coppper ... big tan head ... soft berry toffee fruit nose ... big juicy berry fruits ... soft sweet malts ...nice rounded ... light bitterness 3.5

[i] [b] Bottle, Dodgy Deli, Cowley Road, Oxford, had this 03-01-08 [/i] [/b] Cloudy orange pour with huge white fluffy head. Sour fruity tang the bitterness carries through the mouth. Some really grapefruit pithy qualities, even some yeastiness showing. I’m not convinced this beer is meant to taste like this as aside from the rating below me by Leaparsons I don’t recognise the beer that I’ve had suffice to say it’s described as having a bitter tang, that it does. I actually didn’t mind it though wonder whether it was at its best?

Bottle, Carringtons, Didsbury, This caught me somewhat unawares as I hadn’t scrutinised the label that closely ! Pours a purpley black with a soapy, dissipating muddy head. Very spicy blackcurrant aroma. Sourish and fruity flavour, then the chilli kicks in ! Never tasted anything quite like it in a beer ! Long lingering firey chilli burn, obviously not to everyones taste, but come on, at least try and finish it ! Quite enjoyed it myself, something very different and worth trying once !

deep black, sweet malt, bit too fizzy ,rich roast little sweet treacle, malty honey, deep rich roast tones balanced with the honey sweetness; slight acidity of btl condition

[/b] outside my tent at Towersey festival [/i] Poured hazy murky golden colour, I know exactly what Ethereal says when he mentions the ginger beer, it does have that sort of slightly warming effect at first but where ginger beer ends this stuff just carries on and unlike another Chiili beer I had at Towersey this was a real gradual burner but one that hung around for some time, what can I say it definately tasted of chillies.

[i] Bottle, picked up from the Dodgy Deli’, Cowley Rd, Oxford [/i] This poured like an erupting volcano, crikey it was lively. Black in colour with huge beige head. Aroma berries and a bit sour. Tasted very fruity, with sour edge, finished smoother but there was a dryness, this was a beer that at first I was unsure of but gradually warmed to, not bad but didn’t really come across as a typical stout.

Deep brown in colour almost black, liquorish malt nose, with a liquorish coffe malt very fruity on the cusp of blackcurrenty. in bottle ... Tk2. Yeah Definitly Deep brown not black how odd... smokey realy malty nose ... Mouth feel not quite right ... Lots of chocolate ... rich raisins and plums ... some caramel ... This bottle doesnt seem quite so balanced as before... This is not a Stout , However this is still quite pleasent and intreresting.

Bottled. Cloudy very dark brown, brief head. Citric cocoa aroma. Sweet and light bodied with some disturbing lemony acidity. It’s low on hops, and the coffee flavours stay very vague until the finish. Low bitterness. Still very young but already acidic and lemony.
