500ml bottle from Beers of Europe: BB Feb 2018. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 15th Nov 2017. Misty amber pour, off-white blanket of bubbles on top. Even though I left some liquid in the base of the bottle some sediment must have got out, or the beer was not clear anyway. Malty nose and initial taste, then off-flavours began to appear, musty, woody and semi-sour; a lesser man would have drain poured it, but I am mean and thrifty. I would rather be ill than throw beer away. This was not good. scored kindly (not too sure why).

500ml bottle from 'Beers of Europe': BBE Aug 2018, just read the first four ratings of this, hope I think it's better than those guys. Anyway, this is a 'live tasting' with myself, no sharing. 4th Nov 2017, at home, bottle poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard, my current favourite tasting glass for UK beers. No gushing from my bottle, just a Mahogany coloured, Teak red bodied beer with no head. Wild red berries in the semi-sour aroma, malty and fruity taste, again red berries come to mind, but also semi-sour, as if the beer is 'on the turn' or like a young 'Flanders Red' without the alcohol kick. Got a feeling this might rush out my bottom in the morning as it's infected or just plain 'off'. I hate throwing beer away, but over half of this is going to be a drain pour.
