Can: Charred oak, smoke, grilled meat aroma. Dark brown, thin tan head. Roasted malt, charcoal, hints of raisin, but roast is dominant. Wispy smoke finish. Medium body, alcohol not noticeable. What a hearty robust porter.

Poured from a 22oz bottle. Aroma has a definite English character to it with quite a bit of dark fruit esters including plum and prune. Some light tobacco and leather notes also present. Medium chocolate character with hints of alcohol and caramel. Pours dark brown but not quite black with a medium thick tan head that has pretty nice retention and slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers. Medium light lacing and medium sized legs. Flavor has a moderate sweetness to it with a ton of chocolate character. Light tobacco and leather with medium light dark fruit. Light caramel and toasted bread rounds out the malt notes. Faint alcohol spice in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation but slightly watery in the finish. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a pretty nice porter with a lot of chocolate character. Its difficult to drink this and not want a big, richer stout though so I had to keep reminding myself that it was a porter. Pretty easy to drink, even on a hot day.

Amber color, hazy, medium sized head. Powerful hop aroma, caramel, lightly cheesy, puke; interesting. Semi-dry mouthfeel; strong caramel flavor with a toffee touch; strong bitterness, with resins and some fruits.
Quite heavy on the malts, but fairly good.

Golden-amber. Light frothy head. The hops are a bit floral, a bit peachy but not all that fresh. Sweet malts are up front, a dash of alcohol as well, and then the rather old hops come knocking. Really fresh this is probably better but there’s no date on the bottle.

Cloudy dull brown with bubbly head. Bitterness and butterness, muddy yeast and not much else. I used to like this brewery...a real disappointment.

Bottle - Sweet cocoa and bourbon. Deep jet brown and a decent brown head. Chocolate syrup and light sweet barrel notes. Syrupy but really well balanced with cocoa throughout.

Bomber bought through craftbeer.se. Pours tiny hazy yellow with a rather small frothy and fizzy white head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is grainy and tiny herbal with crackers, cereal, hay, lemon zest and persimmon. Taste is slightly bitter, tiny malty and tiny herbal with crackers, mineral water, hay, lemon zest, orange zest, gooseberries and persimmon. Mouthfeel is dry, sparkling, round, tiny watery and light bodied. Finish is tiny bitter and tiny herbal with crackers, cereal, hay, lemon zest and mineral water. Really really refreshing. A well crafted true pale lager. Deserves a better average than it’s received. Went well with the semi-spicy food I’m having.

Pours reddish brownish black with a rather big creamy, frothy and tiny fizzy dark chocolate brown head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny sweet and malty with roasted malts, heavy bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, liquorice fudge, burnt wood, dried pine needles, moist soil, caramel, soot and subtle hints of banana bread and burnt cookies. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, caramel, liquorice fudge, bitter chocolate, moist soil, pine needles, hay, burnt cookies, heavy dark roast coffee, burnt wood and hints of vanilla fudge, alcohol, soot and cocoa powder. Mouthfeel is round, soft, silky, roasted astringent and near full bodied. finish is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, moist soil, dried pine needles, burnt wood, soot and smoldered hay. Very impressed with this one. Great "basic" imperial stout.

12 oz can pour. Pours a really dark brown color with a fading tan head. Delicious porter with coffee and.chocolate, but not overwhelming for either one. Finishes with a nice roasted flavor. Solid porter.
