22 oz. white wax top bottle purchased @ Oliver’s beverage center. Nearly dark black with thin white head. Nose is a milk chocolate bar melted in a porter. Cocoa up front with hints of vanilla, Lots of smooth chocolate and even a lactose sugar quality. It really tastes like Whoopers malted milk balls candy. Somehow it doesn’t become overly sweet. A light touch of oak in the finish, damn this is a nice desert beer!

Thanksgiving day lunchtime warm up, can split at Christine and Daves thanks to DLJ, 28/11/13. Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent sized light beige covering that dissipates but stays for the show. Nose is caramel malt, bitter orange, toasted malt, citric dipped straw, light red grapefruit strains. Taste comprises orange pith, pine bite, caramel malt, light floral hoppings. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. No world beater but an easy drinking tasty enough IPA that proves good vfm in a six pack.

Bottle from a trade. Poured into a snifter. Pours black with a half finger of dark brown head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and oak. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Dark chocolate and chocolate pudding. Bourbon, vanilla and oak. Medium bodied with a creamy but surprisingly thin texture. Lively carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, very good. I would classify this as a winner.

Can. Amber, white head. Aroma of caramel, pine, some grapefruit. Very sweet with loads of caramel, some citrus and spicy notes. Dries out a little at the moderately bitter finish, but the blandness of the malt is stultifying.
