Bottle at home in NH, shared with Charlie (he loved this one). ABV at 5.7%. Pours clearish gold with a foamy, white head. Nose of grass, toast, bread, earth, some caramel. Medium sweet flavor with leafy pine, toast, light caramel. Modestly bitter overall. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Medium bitter finish, notes of bread, toast, slight cake, faint oily and resinous hops, pine, and very mild citrus. A very easy drinking IPA. Enjoyable.

12 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks Dany!), split with Matts_Property, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of licorice, smoked malt, wood, whiskey, unsweetened dark cocoa, and some sweetness. Flavour of leather, wood, smoked malt & peat, dark cocoa, and slight licorice. Silky, oily texture, with a leathery finish. Very solid.

2009 Bottle, Number 1112 (Hand Written): Very dark brown coloured body with a thin, fast-dying brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, a ton of hops, pine, alcohol, peat and a bunch of anise - nice and strong. Full-bodied; Chewy malty, chocolatey and coffee flavours really come through with an almost meal-like thickness - crazy! Very sweet aftertaste with a touch of vanilla pods, caster sugar, milk chocolate and a good rich oaky flavour. Overall, a very nice beer that is more like a chocolate pie than a beer - very deep and luscious with a thick feel, very nice! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Colonial Spirits in Acton, Massachusetts on 23-September-2010 sampled at home in Washington on 15-June-2011 in celebration of the Boston Bruins winning the Stanley Cup (I’m not a Boston fan, but I’m glad they beat Vancouver!) in 2011.

22 oz. bottle. Pale yellow in color. Nose is faint honey and floral notes. Taste is a simple light malt, honey and faint floral hops. Very easy to drink and a good summer thirst quencher. I easily knocked back the 22 oz bottle in about 10 minutes. It cost $4.99 at Table and Vine, West Springfield, Ma. and I did enjoy it.

Deep brown color almost like a Coca- cola. Small ring of off-white head. Light lace. Nose of molasses and malt. Taste is very similar to aroma. Very thin mouthfeel, light bodied, however there is no lack in flavor. Very easy to drink. Surprised its out in the summer, but not disappointed that it is. Very good! Would buy again!

22 oz bottle color hazy amber with light sediment floating around. Small white ring of head. Minimal lacing and lightly carbonated. Aroma of malt and light grapefruit. Taste is the aroma. Not bitterness in the finish. Very nicely done American Pale Ale. Good example of the style. Would drink again.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thindark brown head. Tbe aroma has notes of roasted malt, wood, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, soy sauce, roasted malt, and tar, leading to a dry roasted, and woody finish.
