Cask at the Tilly Shilling (JDW), Farnborough. Amber with a loose cream head; red fruit aroma; soft with a watery red fruit flavour; then some shortlived dry earthy hops; leaving an unexciting dry finish.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, fully to mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light molasses, fudge - toffee notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, caramel, fruity, fudge - toffee notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110803]

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Unclear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, fruity - caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110803]

Black with thick creamy head. A reasonable amount of bitterness. Some bittersweet cocoa and caramel come through. Texture is rather thin and watery.

Manchester Finest: Clear amber colour, off-white head. Nose is caramel malts, a little fruity. Flavour is caramel malts, fruits, bit of toffee. A bit watery.
