Pint can, one of a four pack given to me by my neighbour. Cheers Bob! Clear ruby red. Slim dense lasting of white foam. Loooks well. Caramel. Fruity toffee, not unlike Toffo’s you got as a kid. Taste is pretty sweet with some light bitterness. Drinks fine. Decent mouthfeel really. A bit cask-y. Light stewed fruit bitter finish. Decent. Disappeared in no time.

[February 2022] Clear and golden with a bubbly white head and a soft, grainy nose. Clean and crisp with a hoppy kick, some malty notes and a dry finish

Bottle as Hobgoblin Ruby. It pours clear ruby with a bubbly white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, dried and dark fruits, raisin, sultana, cranberry, raspberry and candy cane. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter - sweet, earthy, wood, leather, nutty, toffee, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, glace cherry, spice, malt loaf and old leather sofa with a very drying, leathery finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Pretty toothy stuff. Robust. Pretty ok.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden color. Hoppy aroma, floral and fruity, malty. Taste: pale malt, pleasant hops, a bit of citrus and fruits, bitter finish, not bad.

Can at home, thanks to Michael, 26/08/24. Clear golden with a lasting just off white head. Nose is grass, herb, grains, biscuit, faint citric nip. Taste comprises dull fruit esters, perfume, toasted grains, faint orange, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Twig brewer attempting craft style ... not great.

Bottiglia.
