(Flaske 50 cl) Beautiful, warm, nutty brown with an off-white head. Unclean, nutty nose. Fairly light in body with sweetish caramel and some underlying, perfumy notes. Dry, floral finish with a discreet bitterness. 230407

Amber color. Aroma of caramel and old cereals, still ok. But the flavor… too weak, with strong ending bitterness.

Bottle. Clear, golden with a white head. Hoppy, fruity aroma with malt in the background, and some pine as well. Some caramel, malt, citrusy hops and some pine in the mouth. A bit thin body, but hey, it’s and English bitter. Balanced finish with emphasis on the hops, but there’s some caramel as well. A nice, quaffable session-beer that I would like to sample from cask as well. (070404)

Cask at GBBF 2006. A red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also with light roasted notes. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and a light acidity. The mouthfeel is cask flat.

Bottle, picked up at Morrisons, Chippenham, 06-04-07. Poured a warm golden colour with mid sized white head. Aroma a touch fruity and floral, tasted fine, with the honey in evidence but there was a harshness about this beer it was a bit rough around the edges. It was almost as if Wychwood just wanted to tick another box by declaring that they now have a honey beer without investing much care and thought into making a decent one.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Amber gold with a white head; rich honey aroma - actually like a jar of honey; smooth, sweet and refreshing in the mouth; with a delicate honey finish. Seems to be far more honey in this than in Waggledance or Honey Dew - an excellent brew in my opinion.
