500 ml bottle. Dark reddish brown colour with a nice, rich white head. Flavour is malty, well balanced sweet and medium bitter. Finish a bit fruity with a hint of vanilla. An easy drinkable ale.

July 2005 Merton Summer Beer Festival. Don’t know about marmalade flavour in this reddish coloured beer but there was some citrusy notes and tangs in both aroma and just about in the taste dept’ but this was swamped a little by the sweetness. Not great, but certainly not bad either.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good fully lasting head. Moderate malty aroma. Very nice licorice taste. I like this in a stout, not that cold coffee. OK palate.
