The Hobgoblin was the name of one of the first pubs I frequented when I moved to London at the age of 18. It's now called The Rose. Clear golden with a fine enough hoppiness and easy strength - not thin or weak tasting at all. Pretty good session material here.

Nice, clear red-brown color.
A dark roasted caramell malty taste with a litle chocolate and firm bitterness for a bitter.

Közepes, tartós, fehér hab, sötét borostyán szín. Enyhe, fűszeres, trópusi gyümölcsös illat. Erősen visszafogott, citrusos, füves ízvilág. Könnyű, enyhén szénsavas, enyhén kesernyés. A visszafogottsága miatt nagyon jól iható, de éppen emiatt egy kicsit kevésnek éreztem.

Half pint from the cask at The Old Nag's Head, Edale. Usher's was listed at the brewery, but it seems anything under that brand is now Wychwood. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of citrus & light fruits. Slightly sweet finish.

Old rating - 500ml bottle from Morrison's in Totnes. Poured at home in Jersey, it's black with a beige foamy head. Aromas & tastes of dark fruits, liquorice, toffee, coffee, plums & roasted malt. Medium body. Dry roasted finish. Enjoyable
