i really enoyed this.....lots a character to this beer. Nice amber/ dark red color, quick dissipating head. aroma is dried fruit, malt, and lots of cinnamon. flavour is much of the same, but the cinnamon takes a back seat to a nice bittering inthe finish, and a great cinnamon aftertaste. really enjoyable, i wish i would have grabbed more bottles.

aroma of english hops, sweet malt, slight caramel, and faint dried fruit. flavour is much of the same, with a nice bitterness in the finish, and the malt really comes out. this is a decent bitter, nice and enjoyable.

pour very very black, lots of carbonation. brownish head that dissipates quickly. nice roasty flavour, good bittnerness in the finish, very wattery though, not much complexity to it, tastes like it’s dumnbed down for the masses.

Bottle from Tesco. Clear amber body with a beige head. Fine carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of salted caramel, plum and brown bread. Flavour of raisin, wood and copper. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Sweet and bready. It’s just ok.

Bottiglia. Un territorio olfattivo dominato da liquirizia, caffè e cioccolato. La finezza olfattiva è normale e l'intensità olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è nella media. La forza gustativa è normale e la durata è sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di facile beva. Il finale è semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Sul tetto della bocca si fermano impressioni di zucchero, miele, caffè, nocciola, frutta secca, pane tostato e agrumi.

La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo, arancia amara e ananas.

La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di apparenza limpida. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il finale è semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Il tetto della bocca riconosce impressioni di miele, crosta di pane, un accenno di resinoso quasi balsamico, erbaceo, agrumi, pompelmo rosa e arancia.

Aroma of malts, caramel, light fruit, light hop. Flavour is similar, very malty and caramel. Finish is rather dry with some hops. I’m not a fan of the style, but this one was kind of enjoyable.
