Cask, Philarmonic, Liverpool. Amber looks with a decent creamy off white head. Fragrant aroma of citrus, wood and hop. Intriguing flavour that had further fruit mixed with herby hop, spices and a little sourness. Dry bitter finish. Decent beer that grabs your attention and your taste buds, but something a bit strange lurking herein that I couldnโt decide if I truly liked.

Cask. Very deep brown, close to black, colour, with a small beigeish-brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some ashes, mild vanilla as well as wooden notes. Flavour is ashes, liquorice, roasted malts, some vanilla as well as mild dark berries and bitterness in the finish. Very pleasant porter for being only 4.4 % abv!

Cask (at The Flower Pot, Maidstone, Kent, U.K.): Clear, golden, small to mid-sized stable white head, moderately herbal- hoppy nose with a tinge of tobacco(?) and a peachy-grapedruity fruitiness; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering grapefruity-hoppy finish with a lemony flavour in the aftertaste. Pretty good.....

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 21.11.11 Pours mid gold without to much of a head. Fairly safe bitter from Acorn, however there is a nice hoppiness, its got a middling bitterness running through it and there is a nice fruitiness also. Not quite what I expected but not bad.
