500ml can from local shop. 8%. Golden colour, with foam head leaving lacing and aroma of grain, corn, metallic. Taste is sweetish, barley, caramel, grains, with dusty, grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry warm grainy & boozy finish. OK.

Grabbed a can of this from the local offie, whilst they’d still got the 9% version in. Clear gold. Streams of bubbles. Thick, glossy topped, lasting, sticky, white head. Looks fantastic. Nose is sweet, barley sugar. Toffee malts. Light, grassy hop. Taste is syrupy sweet. Chewy mouthfeel. Drinks fairly easy, though. Glad I’ve chilled it right down, mind you. Couldn’t manage this less than icy cold. Finishes chewy, malty sweet. Very light bitterness right on the close. Surprisingly drinkable.

Can from a Kuala Lumpur convenience store. My word, I am scraping the barrel! Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is malt and alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a light burning alcoholic palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Who drinks this stuff besides tickers ??

8.8% version brewed at Lion in Sri Lanka. Pours a clear gold with some lacing, white head. Nose has corn, candy, fake pineapple juice, yeast, booze. Flavor has more of the same, corn, booze, some trashy pepper notes, some cheap pineapple candy, booze. Finishes boozy. Just doesn’t need to be 8.8%

Can 8.8%, Asian version. Clear golden, rocky white head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavour is very sweet malty, just barely masking the alcohol. Crude.
