Tap at Friends of Ham, Leeds. Hazy, straw colour. Film of white head. Dry. Crisp. Zesty. Some pineapple, which comes across a bit odd. Turns dry and minerally. Finish is more of the same. Peculiar.

Cask from PSBH. From notes. Nose was muted. Taste stonrg rye, orange, lime, grapefruit rind with pronounced bitterness. Sticky mouthfeel. Itโs OK but the rye overpowers everything; it lacks grace. Bottle. Nose is is orange, lots and lots of star anise (far more so than I noted in the cask over a year ago), caramel, more orange, spice. Taste leads heavily with the star anise then orange, before a spicy saison notes the rye seems no where to be found. Sticky mouthfeel. I canโt really explain the significant variation to the cask, I suspect a mixture of recipe and format change plus being very warmed up in PSBH. Still a very ordinary beer.
