Cask at Crewe Dog. Pours a dark reddish brown with minimal off-white head. Coffee and biscuits in the boozy aroma. Initially sweet in the mouth with caramel and biscuit. Later on milky coffee comes to the fore, but it’s all a bit watery. Finish has bitter coffee grounds. Not bad but a bit gimmicky.

Cask @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Dark reddish-brown with a head. Has a good malty aroma for its style, some light roasted. It’s strength is fairly easy and some might say it’s a tad thin in texture despite a full taste. Has a nuttiness.
