0.1 l on tap at ’The Shakespeare’. Clear, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, very fruity and quite herbal aroma of pineapple, lemon ice tea and some peach. Sweetish, slightly bitter, fruity and quite herbal taste of lots of lemon ice tea, peach and pineapple, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite herbal and a bit dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. A bit strange, but quite nice!

Cask handpump at The Chequers, Tuesday 28th March 2017, we were in town for a Hop Tasting Event at The Pint Shop. Pours warm gold, good clarity, sweet peachy fruitiness, really pleasant, just a bit sweet. Nice though. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Leeds Beer Festival 2017. Black with a very sweetened dark malt character. Didn’t quite find the true barrel ageing quality on this occasion, but it was fair. Strong tasting.

CAN 33 CL. Hazy golden, small white head. Nice hoppy aroma - elder flower, candied quince, light resins - unfortunately does not last long. The taste is mostly hoppy with the same profile as the aroma. The body is predictably light and is very short on malts, leaving the hops mostly in the piney/grassy realms. Clean and crisp. Still, quite a good job on pulling out a decent session ale out of such a low gravity. Good.

Can (thanks fatphil). Pours golden. Aroma is onions, citrus, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, grapefruit, malt. Finish is dry-grapefruit. Overall: drinkable.

Botella, @El Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo 06/03/2017 Color amarillo, algo turbia, aromas maltosos seguidos de notas ligeras a lupulo (frutales), el sabor es luplado (notas frutales y citricos) seguido de sabores maltosos, el final es amargo con un cuerpo medio.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear red-brown with a thick beige head. Aromas of cinnamon and nutmeg, faint clove. Taste is light spices, cake mix.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 27 Nov 2016) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, liquorice and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, liquorice, raisins, dark bread and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty, warming and well balanced. Nice one.

It was a reasonable all day IPA. There was quite a bit of flavour for the low ABV, and I would describe it as "old world subtleness" with a definite English style. Which has a place, but its still not as good as Dead Pony which is also much more accessible.
