Il y a encore quelques années, Michaël Novo construisait des installations chimiques pour un bureau d’études. A la nuit tombée, sa cuisine avait les allures de laboratoire. Il expérimentait des recettes. En 2009, l’idée de créer une brasserie artisanale germe dans sa tête. Un an plus tard, le 1er avril 2010, la Brasserie du Mont Salève ouvre ses portes.

Hopfiger, etwas dunkler Antrunk mit weichen Grasnoten. Fruchtig, vollmundig, der Hopfen bleibt konstant, das Bier süffig und angenehm. 11/11/12/12//12

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2013. Clear amber with little white head. Nose is caramel, sweet malts, rich oak, barrel with sweet FR white wine, creamy. Taste is sweet caramel, wood, nicely warming, brown sugar, some bitter herbs in the back, everything is nicely coasted is rich FR white wine, bit sweet, white grapes, faint tannins. Flat & oily. Lovely.

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2013. Hazy orange with a white head. Nose is fresh IPA, raw worth, onion type of affair with fruity citrus hop & light spices. Taste is bitter onion & citrus hop, light floral streak, light worth, hay, spices, almost touch horseblanket & light yeast. Hazy body. Pretty enjoyable, nice stuff.

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2013. Black but not the darkest black, little head. Sweet vanilla nose, some oak, soy sauce, roast & some coffee. Taste is bitter roast, liquorish, roasted malts, caramel, toffee, light coffee grounds, leading into sweetness, light booze. Creamy, low carb. Good but was pretty forgettable within the great line-up of RIS’s I had during Borefts.

Draft at BBF13. Pours near black with a tan head. Aroma is roasty and malty. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at Borefts 2013. Pored a cloudy dark amber with frothy off white head. The aroma is strong liqourice and roasted malts. The flavour is strong bitter with a lovely warm liqourice malt palate and super bitter finish. The alcohol is well controlled.

Tap at Borefts 2013. Poured a dark murky brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is dry yeast and roasted malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth liqourice creamy palate.

On tap at Borefts 2013. Barley wine malty and buscuit aroma. Goid hop on finish. A bit of sweetness from the pinot. Good Character.
