Cask at V Shed, JDW. Pours clear honey-gold with a foamy, white head. Mellow leafy hops in the nose, lightly toasted pale malts. Light-medium sweet flavour with rounded bready sugars, low bitterness, a few berries. Medium-bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary, bready finish, brown bread, licks of caramel, just a nip of leafy bitterness. Not bad. Basic.

Dan's Stag. VShed Spoons. Cask. Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, a little dry, modest fine carbonation. Dry malts, mildly sweet. Modest hops, little tired citrus and very mild spicy bitterness. Dry finish. Bitter linger. Okay.

Cask at Robin Hood, Guildford. Really malty with a yeastie sour edge. A hazy amber. Frothy white head. Light bitter with a malty streak and, as per the aroma, a sour edge in the finish. Light bodied. On the thin side. Average carbonation. Dry finish. It's OK. But no way does this come across as Session IPA. A malty pale.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Vague floral HI 're but not much aroma. Copper gold. Bubbly white head just clings to the rim. Medium bitter. Citrus. Overdone though - like a shot of Jif lemon. Thin. Light. Soft carbonation. Astringent finish. Not great. Not awful.
