500 ml bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 5%. Beautiful mahogany colour, moderate off-white head. Malty aroma, notes of moderately roast malts, Christmas pudding, chocolate, liquorice and raisins. Also hints of earthy English hops. The flavour is also malty but not very sweet, with the same elements as in the aroma. Moderate bittering hops. Good beer.

Can shared in Hackney - thanks to WW. Pours clear gold with a tight, creamy white head. The nose holds ripening citrus fruits, pale bread, tangerine. Medium sweet flavour with bready pale malts, more melon and tangerine, mild rindy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Touches of resin in the finish, more ripening citrus fruits, simple pale bread. Good stuff.

The taste is dry, bitter, oily, sticky, tangerine, satsuma, peppery, grassy, pine needles and pithy action with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent stuff.
