Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours dark brown with a frothy 4 finger beige head. Aromas of chocolate and sugar. Med body with frothy carb. Flavor is dark malt and chocolate with what seems to be a hint of coffee. So far I’m not getting clear maple l- but there is a dark sweetness in the background. To me it’s finishing on the dry side. With earth and astringency compared to many porters. With a lot of time I think I’m getting some maple.

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours translucent orange with a transient white head. Aroma is fruity. Med body or better. Flavor is fruity with a touch of citrus and a burp of pine. Malt supports the hop. Finish is a bit muddled, but it’s hoppy with a little burn.

Can, consumed at home 30/05/13, acquired at Beermongers PDX. Pours light black with a thin tan head that clears to a film and edgeing. Nose is light roast, biscuit notes, tropical fruits, light cocoa, hops. Taste is roasty, light cocoa, hops, gentle pine, biscuit. Medium bodied, a little thin, moderate carbonation, bitterness in the finish. Drinkable but a pretty middle of the road CDA lacking the hop and pine bite I enjoy for this style.

Sample from firkin at the 6th Annual Rogue Firkin Fest at Green Dragon. The beer is a dark mahogany color with a medium creamy khaki head that dissipates steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, pine and malt. Medium body with flavors of roast malt, piney hops and a bit of chocolate. The finish is roasty with a malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tin. Orange pour with almost no head. Faint wheaty and bubble gum aroma. Looks like orange soda. Light flavour, some wheatiness and spice. Thin finish

Tap at Beermongers, Portland - 06/11/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin off white head. Nose is light roast malt and treacle toffee. Taste as nose, light dark fruits. Medium bodied with soft carbonation with a smooth finish.

Draught. Poured black with thin white head. Medium lacing, Faint aroma with roasty notes. Silly name, lekker flavour. Medium to full body with roast malt and a long hop finish.

A deep dark stout with a thin moka head. In aroma, a nice chocolate with light woody notes, vanilla. In mouth, a bitter woody chocolate with light vanilla beans and intense bitterness, again, unbalanced. On tap at the brewpub, July 30 2011.

A dark clear reddish brown porter with a thin moka head. In aroma, a pleasant nutty chocolate, caramel, light butterscotch. In mouth, a bitter porter with bitter chocolate, faint maple extract, not bad. On tap at the brewpub, July 30 2011.
