Very Belgian, with a heavy backbone of clove and grass and floral notes lying underneath mild veins of citrus and resin, with a yeasty finish and a strong pine bitterness lengthening the fade. Nice pint.

Offers a deep, intense smokiness, underlining the gentle caramel and cocoa sweetness backed up by toasted nuts and a hint of sweet red apple. Finishes with notes of sweet tea and tobacco, and lingering smoke long into the fade. Tasty, but nothing subtle about it.

16 oz. can from The Bat Cave. Pours an opaque root beer color with a tiny beige head and decent retention. Almost no lacing. Very nutty / peanut butter aroma. Very nutty flavor too, but without the peanut butter flavor versus the aroma. Very smooth and clean. Sweet. Maybe a little one dimensional for some people, but a really well done brown ale. Medium body and medium carbonation. No bitterness. Easily repeatable.

On tap @The Gnarly Sandwich Shop down the road from GB's as I wait for my order. Stemless. Red, plummy, foggy but see through, a little lace. Watermelon rind, faint cider vinegar, fainter cherry pith. Inviting. Taste is more watermelon, sour & tannic blueberry skin, some lime acidity. Really easy & sessionable.

On tap @ GB's in Orlando. Clear, faint jelly, bright copper pour. Very malty nose, more earth than sweetness with the added honey. Snappy, waxy, bitter herbal & rindy. Honey just adds body. Nice. Good & high abv, forget you have work tomorrow sort of lager.

Plenty of citrus, with a tangerine sweetness underneath whatever tart wheat notes are present. A tad sweet in the finish, but drinkable.

16oz can from Total Wine and More, St Petersburg. Bluish purple and clear-ish with a ring of pink head. Light grape and dark Berry aroma. Sweet with light sourness and a short to medium finish. Decent carbonation on the watery body. More like alcoholic grape juice or weak communion wine than a beer, but not altogether bad.

16 oz. can from The Bat Cave. Pours a pitch black color with a tiny beige head and poor retention. A few spots of lacing. Roasted malt and chocolate malt aroma. The flavor is dark roasted malts with limited chocolate notes and a short finish with some light booze. Very clean and smooth for an imperial stout. The 9.0% ABV is mostly hidden. No coffee notes. Hints of molasses as it warms. Medium body. Low carbonation. Low bitterness too.
