Description
We create our own beer recipes – with homemade malt (BOM means Belgische Originele Moutbakkerij or Belgian Original Maltbakery) forming the basis for a secret composition of ingredients, called a “BOM package” – that we brew according to the principles of a gypsy-brewery. The Triporteur beers are our point of departure and our basic beers. Besides those, we also launch a special beer line with once-off products.

33CL bottle at home, too bad this beer isn’t as good as its brother/sister beer ’’from heaven’’, this beer was not really special too bad.

33CL bottle at home, this beer is truly heaven, one of the better beers I have had in a long time, nice aroma, decent hoppy taste, really a beer to recommend.

Bottle. Dark brown with a beige head that fades to a coat. Aroma of bread, stewed fruit, chocolate. Lightish bodied and quite light on the palate. Bready with chocolate and some roast, less fruit than suggested by the aroma - maybe that was fruity coffee. Bitterness and some spices in a finish that dries out a bit and is slightly astringent. Straightforward but very agreeable and well balanced.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark brown colour with a beige and firm huge foamy head. Roasty malty aroma with notes of caramel, dark chocolate, a tinge of berry fruits and yeasty spice. Moderately roasty bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Roasty and earthy malt-character with hints of burnt notes, accompanied by dark chocolate, caramel, a touch of mocha and a subtle fruitiness of dried berries; bitter-sweet roast-malty and quite lasting finish. Pleasant Belgian dark Ale with some Stout-like attributes. 21.II.13

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Fruity and flowery hoppy aroma with notes of grapefruit and pineapple, backed by slightly bready malt and a tinge of Belgian yeasty spice. Moderately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a dry and crisp mouthfeel. Mildly (cara-)malty taste with fruity and slightly resiny hops; quite dry and bitter hoppy finish with an aromatically hoppy tail and a light but also rounded malty sweetness. Promising APA/IPA interpretation from Belgium. 16.II.13
