Description
We create our own beer recipes – with homemade malt (BOM means Belgische Originele Moutbakkerij or Belgian Original Maltbakery) forming the basis for a secret composition of ingredients, called a “BOM package” – that we brew according to the principles of a gypsy-brewery. The Triporteur beers are our point of departure and our basic beers. Besides those, we also launch a special beer line with once-off products.

33cl Bottle from ABS Drinks Winksele. Hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of overripe fruits, pineapple and melon, a little sour, esters. Flavour is medium sweet, light sour and a little cloying ripe fruits, pineapple, light bready malts, bitter hoppy finish. Light-bodied, thin mouthfeel at times. OK.

Something a little unpleasant in the aroma, medicinal, chemical. Flavour has some plain malts and floral hop.

Bottle, 8C. Hazy orange with a puffy white head. Aroma is doughy and spicy with oranges, lemon, peaches. Fruity sweet, but citrus flavours and balancing bitterness rush up to join. Light sourish dough, mild spices. Dry finish. Chirpy, rustic and enjoyable, with fair flavours that are brought together very nicely.

Thick, stable dark creamcoloured head over deep-brown beer with a faint reddish sheen. Rather nutty nose, roasted bread(crust), leafy; melanoidins in force, resulting in roasted-sweet aromas. Roasted again, but sweetness receding in front of more leafy, earthy and even outright bitterish flavours. Very fine, fleeting sourish-lactic impression. Feels lively carbonated, sparkling. Medium bodied, certain gristslickness. Nice brown. Nothing spectacular, but one to order a second round of immediately - always a good sign.
