Description
Twisted Barrel Ale exploded onto the Coventry beer scene on 29th March 2014.
After months of hard work developing a small selection of beers that would appeal to Coventry's patrons thirsting for our unique mix of modern and classical styles and methods we launched our beers at Coventry's number 1 bottle bar, Inspire, and it was a huge success. Originally brewing on a 60 litre kit, we described ourselves as 'the UK's first Pico-brewery'.
20th June 2015 and we held another launch. This time in our brand new Brewery and Tap House at FarGo Village. With a new 1000 litre brewing kit and an entirely new brand design from Stewart Easton, we've finally become the brewery we always set out to be. Almost 2 years later we transferred our bar and brewing kit into a space about 5 times larger than before, we're still serving the best beer at FarGo Village.

Keg from Twisted Barrel Brewery Tap, Coventry, Friday 29th April 2016 Hazy warm gold appearance with a white rim for a head. Pineapple on the nose and bizarrely that little bit of bile/sicky aroma, not much and it’s still a great aroma btw. Great bittersweet balance a damn good session beer, Loz gets Grapefruit I am erring move towards tropical. Went back for another one later and Loz is right, it is more grapefruit. Like it, like it a lot. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Keg from Twisted Barrel Brewery Tap, Coventry, Friday 29th April 2016 Pours dark brown in colour with an off-white head Lots of dark candi sugar, warming, alcohol shows but never intrudes. A little spicy, but good, I like this, ok it may be a tiny bit thin at the back end but it is good. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

Keg from Twisted Barrel Brewery Tap, Coventry, Friday 29th April 2016 Hazy yolky yellowy colour with a slim white head. Soft in the mouth, a little creamy vanilla. I can smell a little tea on the nose but not taste it in the mouth, Fruity with a dry edge, you know what you get a tannin thing round the gums. Good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

Bottleshare at Mr Smith’s pad. Thanks to Colin. Opaque dark brown beer, thin pale tan head. Smooth dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Tangy mid brings a trace of malt roast. Sweet coconut on the dry finish. It’s fine but there have been many better coconut stouts than this.
