Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a coppery with an off white head. Aroma was nail polish, fruit, light malts. Taste is bitter fruity, doughy biscuit malt.

11/7/2020. Bottle at the NCFC relegation party, bought at Waitrose, Peterborough. Poured clear bright copper/amber with a bubbly/frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, fruit and biscuit. Medium sweetness. moderate bitterness and body. Malty bready finish. Not bad.

27/11/2019. Cask at BOD, Stoke-on-Trent. Pours clear dark amber with a creamy lasting off-white head. Aroma of sweet pumpkin, pumpkin pie, slight sulphur, biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. I am slightly biased as I really like pumpkin pie, so did quite enjoy this.

Cask at Crosse Keys JDW. Very clear red brown colour with small beige bubbly head. Aroma all grainy malt and not much else. Maybe a touch of treacle. Taste is light caramel with little bit of bitterness. Bit of that treacle again and some sweetness. Quite thin tasting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gallantry on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 7. Gravity cask at the 2019 CAMRA Rutland Beer Festival, Rutland County Museum. Mahogany brown, hazy with a film of beige head. Horehound' caramel and medicinal notes on the nose. The taste starts sweet and bready, and then the intense bitterness kicks in and takes the reigns to the finish. Lingering aftertaste of burnt cinnamon toast, catarrh syrup, cocoa bitters. An uncompromising English strong ale, one of the better Everards beers I've tried.

Handpull cask at the Wheatsheaf, Oakham. Golden and clear with a thin white head. Astringent, sweaty aroma, not particularly pleasant but not impossibly poor. The taste is medicinal and joylessly flavourless, buoyed up only by a thin suggestion of citrusy hop. Full body for the ABV with the pull of natural carbonation. Not a beer to get excited about.
