Description
Founded in 2007, Ascot Ales was bought by Chris Davies in 2017. Together with his son, Conor, they rebranded to Ascot Brewing Company and have since launched a secondary, multi-award winning, craft beer brand, Disruption Is Brewing.

In 2020, we built a formidable 8,500 sq. ft Brewery and TapHouse, which boasts a massive mezzanine bar with 20 taps, and hosts all types of events from beer festivals to comedy nights and corporate events to private parties.

We believe beer is the social glue that binds communities together. By brewing remarkable, flavour-bursting beer and offering unrivalled, memorable experiences, we want to push the boundaries of what’s possible when great beer and people unite.

This means we need to be bold, and we need to be big.

In November 2019, we moved to an 8,500 sq. ft warehouse, built a massive 2,500sq. ft, 20 tap taproom, increased our brewing capacity and launched an innovative craft beer brand, Disruption is Brewing. Later they completely abanded the Ascot branding.

Cask at White Horse SW6. It pours very dark brown with a small light tan head. The nose is dark berry, mince pies, spice (particularly cinnamon and clove), jam, toasted coconut and vanilla. The taste is blackcurrant, blueberry, vinous, jammy, wood, earth, faint bourbon, light alcohol warmth, vanilla, nutmeg and clove. Medium body and soft carbonation. Fruity, lighter than expected (but very drinkable) and well balanced. I thought this worked very well. Delicious.

Cask at The White Horse Old Ale Festival, London. Pours clear brown with a fine, tan cream head. Tangy berry aroma with lightly smokey malts. Medium to big sweet flavor with tasteful spices, ripe and dry fruits, definitely a bit of tang, brown sugar. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lightly sticky to finish with more winter spices and tangy fruits, especially berries. The spices really save this beer.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the 13th Egham Beer Festival. Rather hazy amber colour with a ring of white head; light citrus flavour with a fresh, grassy bitterness. Rather inconsequential.

Cask at CASK with Sarah. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has nice light citrus with a hint of light fruit and a grain backbone. Flavor has much more earthy grain with a hint of grass and citrus underlying.
