Cask at the lyric for the tap takeover. Hazed orange / amber coloured pour with a lasting greyish cream loose head. Aroma is citrus lemon hop, hot alcohol, bit rustic. Flavour is rustic, jammy, midget gem hop, little orange, resin. Palate is grainy, resinous, moderate to low carb. Little bit of alcohol warmth. Lingering grain and orange.

Cask at the lyric for the tap takeover. As ’Dark Wave Porter’. Aroma is nice dark coffee, caramel, dusty, vanilla creme. Dark caramel reddy brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Flavour is ashy roast, caramel, woody, semi sweet. Palate is a little thin, semi sweet, low carbonation. Ok. Lingering woody roast.

Cask at the lyric for the tap takeover. Nice bright reddy caramel coloured pour with a lasting frothy cream head. Aroma is nice floral, lavender, citrus hop. Pinch of caramel on the nose. Flavour is nicely balanced, light caramel and biscuuty grains with slight lemon, floral hop, and subdued English ale yeast character. Palate is semi sweet, good cask condition. Firm balanced bitterness. Very sessionable.

Cask at the lyric for the tap takeover. As American Amber. Reddy amber coloured pour with a lasting thin creamy head. Aroma is resin pine, little berry, bit of caramel and light toast. Flavour is firm grassy piney, resin, caramel, unrefined sugars, assertive hop bitterness. Solid malt backbone caramel and toast. Palate is medium bodied, semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Little sticky on the tongue.

Cask at Lyric. It pours clear orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, fruity, sticky, orange, tangerine, candied peel, apricot and light toasty grain. The taste is smooth, crisp, bitter orange, straw, honeysuckle, pepper, tangerine, grapefruit, straw and light grass with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp and drinkable. Perhaps a bit astringent on the bitterness. Decent enough.

Cask at Lyric. It pours near black with a small tan head. The nose is soft, bitter-sweet, creamy, mocha coffee and charred earth. The taste is smooth, roasty, creamy, earth, coffee, pepper, drying earth, burnt wood and cocoa with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth and quaffable. Solid porter.

Cask at Lyric. It pours clear deep amber with a foamy beige head. The nose is soft, sweet caramel, juicy, wood, brown bread and some orange peel. The taste is bitter-sweet, woody, earth, resin, leather, caramel, pepper and pithy citrus with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty quaffable. Another solid beer from these guys.

Cask at Lyric. It pours hazy amber with a medium bubbly white head. The nose is brown bread, grainy, toasty, earth, dirt and mild barnyard. The taste is bitter, woody, leather, spice, brown bread, light toast and orange rind with a dry, earth finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Punchy bitterness for the style. Not quite as sessionable as I had hoped, but solid stuff. I realize this last comment makes me sound like I am in camra. Truth is I have up my membership this year....

Cask at Lyric, Soho. It pours darkest ruby with a thick light tan head. The nose is soft, creamy, lactose, milk chocolate, milky coffee, roasted malt and liquorice. The taste is smooth, creamy, bitter-sweet, roasty, charred wood, earth, cocoa, coffee grounds and liquorice with a dry, charred finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Great condition. Nice balance and drinkablity. Good.

Cask at Lyric, Soho. It pours murky deep amber with a decent off-white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, juicy, creamy, stewed orange, brioche, candied citrus, rye bread and a wood. The taste is big punchy bitterness, resinous, spicy, wood, brown bread, leather, zesty grapefruit rind, orange peel and light astringency with a dry, lingering finish. Medium+ body, soft carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Punchy and flavoursome. Very nice indeed.
