Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 30/12/2014. vivid, pale gold in colour with a frothy, white, head that left rings down the glass. Light, tangerine and tropical fruit aroma, with some leafy hops. Easy drinking, with plenty more fruits, crisp malts and a dryish finish. Excellent.

Tap at Cask, Pimlico. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is big Sorachi ace, zesty orange peel citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a roasty, big grassy hop, dry coffee spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On cask at Cask. Pours near black with a bubbly tan head. Aroma of roast, toffee, milk chocolate, light coconut and light coffee. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the hanging bat. Dark brown pour, thin beige head. Light smoke and roast aromas, maple perhaps, but faint. Taste has a bit more sweetness. Clean finish. Ok.

Cask at the CP&K, Pimlico, 12/12/14. Hazed pale golden with a decent off white head - good retention. Nose is pissoi, skunky hop notes, citric peel, on the turn melon. Taste comprises more light NZ stylee skunkings, earthy hop, mandarin, light pine bite, melon, lemon rind. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, grassy hop bitterness in the close. Decent cask pale.

Cask-conditioned at the Rutland Arms, Sheffield, 1/12/2014. Clear gold in colour, with a tight, white, head. Big, tropical fruits, a touch of discordant green apple, and crisp malts. Finish was lingering and bitter. Perhaps slightly tired, but ok overall.

Cask. Rutland Arms, Sheffield. Clear copper colour. Bubbly, thin, lasting, white head. Very vinous. Grainy, sweet malt. Quite grassy, green hop. Some banana in there. Light spice. Taste has sweetness. Some dry, and grassy bitter. Feels a bit thin. Finishes light bitter. Dry close. At bit at odds, really. Not for me, this one. Looks good, though.
