Half-pint, hand-pulled in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury on 26th Jan 2015. Clear light amber pour with a full white pillow for a head. Both the nose and taste were of floral and mildly citrusy hops, refreshing and clean tasting: not as bitter as I expected to be honest, but a fine beer and in good condition.

On tap Tap East. Black dark ruby edges. Almost like a black ipa. Roast malts then some pineapple fruit from the hops. Too roast for me. Good hops though the sorachi ace pineapple vanilla comes thru.

Cask at the CP&K, Pimliwhere, 29/12/14. Light black with a decent tan covering that retains well. Nose is earthy roast, chocolate, light spice, biscuit, Sorachi notes well evident. Taste comprises earthy notes, toffee, cocoa rub, Sorachi Ace more prominent than on the nose, red berry linger. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light charr in a semi drying close.
