Cask @ Mallinsons Corner House, Huddersfield. Very dark with an off-white head. It's liquorice heavy, this lingers and is overbearing for the ale. It's sweet with a very sweet nose.

Cask @ Royal Oak, Halifax. Dark copper-brown with a glow and a thick creamy-frothy head. Its caramels and toffee notes are full, but within a very easy-supping texture that isn't thin.

Cask at CBC, Shoreditch on 19th November 2017. Pale gold with shallow whitish foam and scant lacing. Grassy hoppiness in aroma. Floral hop in-mouth with citrus, meringue and tropical fruits. Sweet malts round off a grassy hop finish. A pleasant ale with staying power. Zingy mouthfeel and a light body.

Cask at CBC, Shoreditch on 19th November 2017. Almost black with shallow tan foam and travelling lace. Vanilla, cream and chocolaty malt in aroma. Sumptuously sweet chocolate, creamy milk and raisins in-mouth. Finish dies away too quickly, but is sweet and lactic with some roasty malts. Smooth mouthfeel and light to medium body. Rated as a novelty ale.
