Can thanks to DiabolicDUB. Pours a hazy pale golden orange with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma is quite dank with a srong grass note and has a deep grain backing. Flavor begins with dank grass and has a hint of grapefruit and is backed by oats and grains. Seems muddled.

Pours hazy gold with a frothy 3 finger white head. Aroma seems more hoppy than bready. Med body. Flavor is nutty, bready noble hoppy. Not your standard modern yukky premium lager. Old ways seem to be the best ways.

On tap at Apex in Portland, split with Matts_Property, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of bourbon and chalk. Flavour brings out the bourbon strongly, followed by vanilla and some booze. This is a bourbon bomb. Not much of the original stout left. Solid, but the bourbon is overburdening.

Cask at GBBF 2011. Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of licorice, ink and fruit with a touch of bouron. Sweetish and slightly fruity flavour with lots of hard roasted character of ink, ash and charcoal.

GBBF. Cask. Opaque black beer, tan head. Surprisingly light palate, semi dry. Rich dark malt but not roasty or bitter. Licorice well balanced with the dark malt. Some fruit underneath - subtle. Dry finish with a touch of coffee. Tasty and drinkable.

Draught. Pours black with thin beige head Moderate lacing Aroma is balanced roast and coffee. Coffee and roast malt in flavour but balanced, I feared that the coffee would overwhelm it, and it does not. Bit of hop in the finish

Draught. Pale gold to red with lasting white head. Much lacing. Sweet aroma but not too sweet, some hop in it. Light body, light flavour, pleasing malt finish. Good beer to have on a hot day. Also at Hawthorne Hophouse’s 15th Avenue location.
