Draught. Pored Black as night with thick beige head. Much lacing. Aroma was roasty and coffee. Rich malty flavour with a lot of coffee notes and some roasty notes. Some nuttiness as well. Lasting pleasant finish and doesn’t taste as strong as some imp. stouts.

Sample at the brewpub, part of Stout Month. Pours black with a thin off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla and malt. Full, smooth body with flavors of oaky bourbon, dark malt and vanilla. Mild dark fruit notes as well. The finish is bourbon and malt with a dark fruit aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub, part of Stout Month. This Stout pours black with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Large sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee aroma with some malty notes. Rich body with flavors of caramel malt, roasted coffee and hops. Dry coffee bean finish with a roasty aftertaste. Solid all around.

Sample at the brewpub, part of Stout Month. Pours black with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of burnt malt, coffee and hops. Medium, smooth body with flavors of roasted malt, coffee and mild hops. Light salt notes as well. The finish is dry and roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Another unique and tasty Stout from Fort George.

Sample at the brewpub, part of Stout Month. The beer pours nearly black with ruby around the edges. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of black cherry and dark malt. Full body with a tart berry character and flavors of roasted malt and black coffee. The finish is black cherries with a lingering malty aftertaste. Overall this beer is a style that I don’t think I have ever seen before, and it is a good beer to boot.

Sample at the brewpub, part of Stout Month. Pours nearly black with a medium beige head that recedes steadily. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of berries and coffee, plus some malt. Rich, smooth body with flavors of roasted malt, coffee and hops. The finish is roasty with a mild coffee and cocoa aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a clear pale amber color with a medium bone white head that dissipates slowly. Top ring of lacing with strings underneath. Citrusy hops aroma with a malty undercurrent. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character that has citrusy and piney qualities. Caramel malt is present in the background. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a hazy brownish-amber color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily. Sheet of lacing on the glass. Nutty, malty aroma. Medium, smooth body with roasted nut, malt, and mild hops flavors. The finish is malty with a lingering roasty sweetness. Above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy dark yellow color with a medium thin white head that dissipates to a film fairly fast. Stringy lacing on the glass. Piney hops and fruit in the nose. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, fruit and grainy malt. The finish is smooth and malty with a short citrusy hops aftertaste. Interesting beer, not a big beer but unique in style.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours pinkish-amber with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Sticky sheet of lacing on the glass. Raspberry aroma with light malty notes. Medium body with a fruity berry character along with some grainy malt in the background. The finish is tart and fruity with a raspberry aftertaste. Decent overall.
