Description
BridgePort produces a variety of international style ales, including IPA. BridgePort’s ales are naturally conditioned in the bottle, keg, or cask from which they are served - they’re never force carbonated. The natural conditioning creates ale that is smooth, naturally carbonated, and full of flavor.

Today, BridgePort Brewing Company is one of the top specialty brewers in the state of Oregon. As BridgePort Brewing grew in popularity, it also grew in its brewing capacity from its 600-barrel beginnings to over 100,000 barrels per year. Distribution has grown from Portland to 18 states, and the brewery’s emphasis on producing quality, innovative ales has provided it with an international following and numerous awards.

12 oz. bottle, pours hazy golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of moderate hops, citrus, grass and earth. Flavour of hops, biscuit, floral notes - very similar to the regular IPA. Not one of the better IIPAs.

Bottle from a trade with Rustyham. Pours hazy amber color with off white head. Bready malt and earthy aroma. Moderately sweet malty flavor, a little toasty with some caramel. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Nick.

Nice copper coloured body with a thin white head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of raspberries, wheat, yeast and a bunch of sugars - nice indeed! Medium-bodied; Nice mellow raspberry flavours with some yeast and wheat, a touch of coriander seed and some minor citrus tastes. Aftertaste is mild, but showing some alcohol. Overall, a good beer, but not an amazing fruit beer - perhaps a bit too strong on the wheat/yeast and not enough flavour from the raspberries. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased yesterday at La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska, sampled in Seward, Alaska on 27-June-2010.

Pour is a orange with a large white head. Aroma is a nice grapefruit hop with some cookie dough malts in the backround. Flavor is a decent amount of hops but not over the top. The hops are again followed by dry malt. This is a decent enough pick up for a sample its just not as hoppy as some other IIPA’s i’v had recently.

Shipped to me by my wife from a trip to Portland. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy caramel-amber color with a large orange-white head that produced some lacing. The aroma was crisp fruity and piney hops with a touch of sweetness. The flavor was tart, tangy and bitter with a dry nutty malt undertone and light lemony hops. The finish was fairly short. Medium body. Pleasant.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper orange with a medium creamy white head that leaves good sticky lacing. The aroma is very hoppy with grapefruit and grass. Medium mouthfeel with a big hoppy bite with grapefruit and a nice bitter finish. Easy to drink hiding the alcohol well, a very good IIPA from BridgePort.

Bottle: Pours a lighter chestnut brown with a modest creamy beige head. Nice bits of sticky lacing. Aroma is weak; peaty, malty, and hints of wood. Some peat, caramel, and chocolate in the taste before a bland barrel aged note takes over. Sort of a weak, stale whiskey thing. Not real good.
