Description

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, July 18, brought by me. Pours misty deep gold, frothy pure white head. Sweet yeast on the nose, crisp bright moderately sweet saison character. Deliciously balanced, the Orval yeast bringing good clarity and life to the Amarillo hoping. Another great saison from Rulles.

Clear golden with a lasting, foamy, white head; some lacing. Aroma of yeast, white bread, dough, bready malt, citrus, grapes, apple. It tastes medium fruity & malty sweet, providing hints of dough & sugar, and light to medium spicy bitter, a bit yeasty & hoppy. Dry, slightly hoppy & yeasty finish with warming 'jenever' alcohol. Medium to full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. A Belgian Abbey Tripel worth discovering!
