Bottle. Fairly hazy dull gold with an inch of white head. Gentle, moody and rustic aroma of ripe grapefruit, herbs, bread. Soft texture despite highish carbonation. Out of the vague bready and grainy body comes lychees and grapefruit. Maybe some other - barely ripe - tropical fruit. They waft about and are lovely. There are some light herbal and tangy notes as well in a finish that is just bitter enough to be a finish. [It _is_ hazy and hoppy but is it a Hazy/ New England IPA? Seems to owe as much to Coopers and Murray's Icon as anything. Anyway.] Alive and beguiling.

Bottle. Brown with a large beige head. Aroma of dark bread, chocolate. Earthy - a little nutty even - grass, some oranges, spices. A little more than light bodied. Much more about hops upon a swig, with choc orange, bread and tight spicy notes (rye?) towards the end which is quite dry and bitter. Pretty good - plenty going on for 5.5% and I liked the way it presented itself in its own time.

Bottle. A long, tight cork. Just hazy orangeish amber with a towering (and excessive) white head. Aroma is mildly funky with damp hay, flowers, oranges, pineapple and brackeny Brett. Sweet and tart with a dryish somewhat bitter finish. Floral honey, sourish citrus (there's a lime and mineral punch), just ripe stone fruit that swings towards astringent pineapple. I liked the finish less as it did - sufficiently so to recap it for the next day. It's a little softer then and the luxuriant head still lasts all the way. Just tamed.

From a 500ml bottle on 13/6/208. Pours a deep brown with a smallish head. The nose is roasty with some fridge notes. Flavour wise, there's a mild chocolate and some berry sweetness, but a roasty, tart, slightly burnt, lingering bitterness ultimately prevails. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A bit unbalanced for mine, and not really my style of stout.

Bottle. Black with a loose light tan head that collapses. Aroma of chocolate cream fudge, vanilla and other spices. Silky. Less sweet and with heavier roasted malt than anticipated. Spiced black strap licorice. Not so much vanilla. Moderate but insistent bitterness. Fortifying.
