Draft pour pint enjoyed at Hop and Hound. A perfect Halloween brew, as it is full of chocolate aroma and flavor. Dense near black pour. Maple, chocolate, and a soft nutty grain background. Toffee hints. Brittle. Butterfinger reminder more so than a true maple. Its delicious. Halfway through the pint I decided to pair it with different candies. I reccomend this. It pairs well. Overall a great beer whether you pair it with something or not. Boulder kills it with chocolate beers.

12oz can. Hazy yellow-tan body, not NE IPA thick. Foamy white head. As a previous rater noted, the Mosaic sort of saves it from being a complete dud. Not a bad beer overall, just a poor example of a NE IPA. Simcoe kind of has a faded out feel...it is only two weeks from expiration..and it shows. Not a beer I would eagerly revisit. Has a crafty not all the way there feel.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma is slightly bready with a light spice/grass note. Med body. Flavor is bready with a little grassy hop. Not very dry; not very bitter. Decent tho, and likely to be a drink to wash down food. Good for the style.

12 ounce can into pint glass, best before 9/8/2018. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lightly tart watermelon, cucumber, pear, red apple, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of watermelon, fruity yeast, pale malts, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart watermelon, cucumber, pear, red apple, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light watermelon tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of watermelon, cucumber, pear, red apple, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of watermelon, fruity yeast, pale malts, and earthy hop flavors; with an nice malt/bitterness balance. Mild lingering hop astringency after the finish, but not overwhelming. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is good. A bit too harsh finish. Zero warming alcohol for 5.6%. Overall this is a pretty nice fruited kolsch. All around nice robustness and balance of watermelon, fruity yeast, pale malts, and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; despite the fairly harsh drying finish. Very flavorful fore the ABV. A little too bitter/hoppy than expected. Balanced watermelon, pale malts, earthy hops, and fruity yeast character. Solid take on the base style. Watermelon is not too overpowering. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Very homebrew-ish, with a worty wet malt heaviness overlapping muted juicy hop tones. Corn sweetness shows through on the back end, while subtle mandarin and peach notes are brushed aside by spiky carbonation and a somewhat medicinal back end. It's a shame the NEIPA craze means I see six-pack upon six-pack cans of Due East while no beer store in town will stock the far superior Mojo.
