12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 10/20/2018. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.9%. Overall this is a very good NEIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Great soft feel. Nice Simcoe, Mosaic, Ekuanot profile. Extremely juicy hops with great wheat/oat/malt balance, not overly sweet/heavy. A little underwhelming, but a very enjoyable offering. Very well made style example, despite the lack of any significant haze.

Cask at GBBF 2018. It pours cloudy dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, oily, cinnamon rolls, big red chewing gum, earthy, chocolate cake and earth. The taste is slick, dry, bitter, spicy, heavy cinnamon vibes, chocolate cake, alcohol sting, varnish, raw bitterness and wet wood with a drying finish. A bit one dimensional, but decent.

Bottle to Shaker Pint at Old Chicago in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is clear golden with a well formed 1 inch white head. The aroma is earth, grain malt along with a bit of the resin orange fruit. The taste is primarily the grain malt, with a bit of bitter blood orange behind the malt. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, a bit mouth coating and a lingering grain malt finish. Didn’t taste super fresh.
