Can from Corti Bros. Pours perry color with a slight white head. Aroma may be watermelon, but it isn’t seeming fresh. Med minus body. Sort of thin soda pop. Dilute jolly rancher flavor. If the melon was in the boil, it might be a better idea to just add the juice and some more yeast to the cooled wort. Cooked melon isn’t very pleasing. Still, this may be one of the better watermelon versions. Thinness and dilution can have a good result in some circumstances.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a pale yellow color with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was artificial watermelon and some grain. The flavor was watermelon Jolly Rancher and grain. Long watermelon finish. Medium body. Meh.

Cask gravity @ GBBF 2016. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with weak hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

On tap at Boulder Beer at Denver International Airport, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out very subdued oranges, with a hint of piney hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with slightly more assertive oranges, light piney hops and sweet cereal malt on the underside. Decently balanced, with a lightly orangey sweet finish. Okay.

Flavour brings out lightly sweet watermelon, with a touch of graininess and cereal malt. Juicy and light - easy drinking thirst quencher.

Flavour is along the same lines, with subdued banana, some spicy clove and cereal malt sweetness. Not really an authentic hef, but it's alright.

Bottleshare at Chez Smith. Thanks to Leighton. Clear deep amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little thin for the abv, sweetish dark malt cream. Very spicy hops, starting to burn. Pine and ripe fruits. Light finish leaves a fruity spicy tangy linger. Sweet malts and fierce hops. Like it.

12oz can. Quite pale yellowed-tan body. Completely transparent, fitlered. Foamy, respectable, frothy white head. Some candied watermelon tones...more in line with candy than real fruit flavor. Definitely in the alcopop range with the artificial sweet sugary watermelon, but it actually tastes pretty good. Clean, drinkable, unique.
