Draft at Cafe Derat, Utrecht. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, toffee, earthy, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Not my favourite style but I did enjoy this.

330ml bottle at Cafe Olivier, Utrecht. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, earthy mineral, metallic hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Not exactly impressed.
